Once upon a time, many thought that the world was flat — 2 Dimensional.
That if you sailed too far “outside of the envelope” of sight, you would simply fall off the edge of the world. Needless to say, this limited true collaboration and the immediate development of team solutions, to anyone inside of the room.
Today, we know that the world is 3-Dimensional. If we think about it, we see and work naturally within a 360° environment. We can turn in any direction, up, down or side to side, until we can see what we need, access it, and bring it into service on the project we are working on, now.
Life is 3-Dimensional 360° experience, to understand it more fully, we instinctively pick things up and turn them to see what the other side is like. When shopping for produce, we pick up the apple, tomato or turn a bunch of bananas to see the entire situation.
Our manufactured products are also 3-Dimensional. To understand them more fully, we instinctively pick them up and turn them, to see what is on all sides. We do this to see how one part is related to, effects, interconnects or interacts with another, how it all fits and works together synergistically as a unit. Why then, are we still using 2-Dimensional images to try to understand and work in a 3-Dimensional world? An old story of 3 blind men, collaboratively sharing their experiences of an elephant, gave three different interpretations. They were each correct, yet their inability to grasp the full 3-Dimensional experience, left their collaborative conclusion a bit short of reality. This same results are often realized by some of our best teams. Because of the limitations of the communication tools and their inabilities to show us a full 360° image, while effectively and collaboratively sharing detailed information, our understanding falls short. As a result, our conclusions and solutions miss the mark!
Think of our first example, where the brightest minds used only a 2-Dimensional approach. True Collaboration and the development of immediate team solutions was limited only to those inside the room.
The collaborative environment can be entered through a single URL. No software to download. Access can be limited through issued UserID and Password or biometric scan, etc.
At IPIX VisionBridge, we believe and can prove, that the robust suite of communications tools, together with the collaborative feature of our platform, will enable, empower and facilitate the real-time development of team solutions, by multiple participants throughout the life-cycle of a manufactured product. Participants including, designers, strategists, economists, project managers, schedulers, material and component providers, actual manufacturing machine operators, packaging designers, transporters, distributors, end users in the real-world environments and recyclers, will all be able to contribute their information and experiences in real-time, as a single team, to develop team solutions. These solutions can then be implemented, monitored, quality cycle vetted, modifications made and solutions reintegrated, and comments generated from end-users in real-world environments.
